Self-introduction: Interpreting Traditional Chinese Medicine, Metaphysical Numerology, and the various schools of thought from the Hundred Schools of Thought period using computational thinking.

Behind the Scenes:

This is the first YouTube video I’ve ever published. Before making videos, I thought it would be very simple.

But when I faced the camera, I realized it was so difficult. Either I wanted to laugh at myself, or I felt awkward and nervous, and I had many small movements and habits.

The first time, I didn’t write a script beforehand, thinking it would be easy, so I just spoke to the camera. I recorded about 100 times, and didn’t get a single complete video.

After that, I wrote a script and read it dozens of times, modifying it as I went, deleting and changing sentences and words that didn’t flow well for me. Because the maximum length for short videos is 3 minutes, I cut a lot of content.

The second time, I recorded over a hundred times again. Only one of them was fully recorded, but I wasn’t satisfied with it myself.

During this process, I wanted to give up countless times. Each time, I remembered the words of the world’s number one YouTube influencer, MrBeast, “The first time, just make 10 trash videos, the second time, make slightly better trash videos than the first,” which kept me going.

When it came to post-editing, I initially used DaVinci. I watched tutorials while trying to operate it, busied myself for four or five hours, and finally realized it was too difficult and I couldn’t manage it, so I switched to CapCut.

I also spent about ten hours on CapCut, and still didn’t really know how to use it. I originally wanted to add some video footage, but I realized I didn’t know how to operate it. Even when I forced it in, I wasn’t satisfied, so I deleted it. There were also many ideas I didn’t implement. In the end, I only managed to create bilingual Chinese and English subtitles.

Before making videos, a friend told me that as you make more and more videos of yourself speaking to the camera, you’ll gradually become more outgoing.

Haha, I think he’s right. Now when I look back at my videos, although I’m still very dissatisfied, I feel like I’ve become a little more confident without even realizing it.

Hello everyone, welcome to the Guyuxi Channel. I am Guyuxi. My name embodies the hope that I can possess the extraordinary intellect and wisdom of Guiguzi, while also having the unparalleled strength and dominance of Xiang Yu.

Speaking of Guiguzi, he can be considered one of the most mysterious and wisest sages in ancient China. He was proficient in the doctrines of the Hundred Schools of Thought, especially excelling in the arts of diplomacy and strategy, military tactics, and the cultivation of life. His disciples, such as Su Qin, Zhang Yi, Sun Bin, and Pang Juan, were all influential figures who dominated the Warring States period, demonstrating the power of Guiguzi’s teachings.

As for Xiang Yu, he was the Hegemon-King of Western Chu in ancient China, a legendary hero. Legend has it that he was eight chi tall, about 1.9 meters, and his strength was so great that he could lift a 250 kg tripod. His bravery and dominance are rarely seen in Chinese history.

The theme of my channel is to interpret Traditional Chinese Medicine, Metaphysical Numerology, and the various schools of thought from the Hundred Schools of Thought period from the perspective of “computational thinking.”

I believe that many traditional Chinese disciplines, although seemingly mysterious, actually conceal a very rigorous logic and methodology.

For example, Traditional Chinese Medicine emphasizes diagnosis based on pattern differentiation, which is essentially collecting information about a patient’s symptoms and signs, then analyzing and summarizing them to ultimately identify the cause of the illness and the treatment plan. This process is similar to how a computer processes data, requiring clear input, rigorous processing, and accurate output.

Metaphysical Numerology, if we look at it with computational thinking, is actually based on a specific system of symbols and operational rules. It’s like a programming language, using different combinations of symbols and operations to predict or explain certain phenomena.

As for the thoughts of the Hundred Schools of Thought, they are all complete systems of thought that offer different solutions to social and personal problems. We can see them as different “algorithms” that may produce different results under specific conditions.

I firmly believe that the ancestors of the Chinese people were very rigorous pragmatists. The profound skills they created were all for solving practical problems of society and individuals at the time.

Therefore, the best way to learn them is to treat these disciplines as problem-solving technologies. Like computer technology, they are highly logical and focus on solving problems efficiently and accurately.
